Who Is The Instructor?

Shaykh Shaqur Rehman

Shaykh Shaqur Rehman, Senior Advisor for the Islamic Council of Europe, Sabeel Instructor, Head of Islamic Tarbiyyah for MYI and Khateeb at several Masajid.

Shaykh Shaqur Rehman has completed a PGCE along with an MA in Applied Linguistics. He preceded his secular studies with a traditional Islamic education beginning in Egypt in 1999-2001 which he further developed in Syria and Saudi Arabia whilst teaching English in various universities and institutions. During his Islamic studies, he managed to memorise the Holy Quran and attain authorisation (Ijaza) in recitation and various Islamic sciences including theology and jurisprudence.

Ustadh Minhaj is a secondary teacher of Maths and Physics in a state school and has been studying Islam seriously since 2012. He has been consistently attending two structured Islamic development programmes for more than 4 years. He is one of our key Murabbis at MYi and has been active in Dawah for many years along with delivering khutbahs on a regular basis.
